Actress Sushmita Sen expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelmingly positive response from the audience to her recent web series "Taali." Through an Instagram post, Sushmita conveyed her thanks for the love, respect, and appreciation showered upon the show. She extended her gratitude to the team, cast, crew, and her followers for their immense support. The heartfelt messages, calls, flowers, and love notes have been cherished by her. The biopic "Taali" portrays the life of transgender activist Gauri Sawant, with Sushmita Sen portraying the lead role. The series highlights Gauri's journey, from facing discrimination due to her transformation to her courageous battle for transgender rights in India. The show's impactful storyline and thought-provoking dialogues have resonated well. Created by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar, directed by Ravi Jadhav, and written by Kshitij Patwardhan, the series is produced by Arjun Singgh Baran, Kartk D Nishandar, and Afeefa Nadiadwala. Shreegauri Sawant, the real-life inspiration for the series, was a petitioner in the 2013 NALSA case that led to the recognition of the transgender community as the third gender by the Supreme Court in 2014.
