Do Bigha Zameen: A Bimal Roy Classic

By Daxesh Trivedi

As cinema lover happiness and contentment both come together when you watch any Bimal Roy's movie. But this story is not all about happiness and joy .

Shambhu, a poor men does not want to compromise his land to landlord.

Dirty conspiracy begun to snatch his land against some previous debt. Somehow he gets deadline to repay his debt and he decided to move calcutta for quick earning by running cycle riksha.

His son also joined him for calcutta without informing him. Some mind blowing act one can see during this struggle. But the question remains as it is, can he save his land?

End of the movie is very sensitive & memorable. Bimal da picked up realistic climax and not the cinema wala happy climax. A classic cult movie without doubt.
