Irreplaceable by Vini Kunhappan | A Poem

My heart bleeds
Being an adult
My mother is still what I need
Her patience and resilience
Her tenderness and valiance
Those cozy cuddles
And putting up a smiling face
through all those hurdles
I crave for your home cooked food
And your protective shield
which was my hood
Waking up to your warm kiss
Oh!! maa Your Mothering is what I miss
I wish we had more time
May be in the next life
Somewhere in a parallel universe
I'm still in your arms,
just maybe I will unite with you
in the afterlife.
