From Ashes to Ink: Mridusmita Das and the Power of Reinvention

In the vibrant constellation of women shaping India's literary and social landscape, Mridusmita Das shines brightly—her voice compelling, compassionate, and consistently impactful. As one of the six women shortlisted for the Tribute Global Digi Awards for Women 2025 under the ‘Literary Excellence Award’ category, Mridusmita represents the embodiment of creative brilliance paired with a heart for service.

In her own words:

"I am humbled and honored to be nominated for the Tribute Global Digi Awards for Women 2025 under the ‘Literary Excellence Award’ category. This recognition validates my passion for storytelling and commitment to social causes where I can connect with Widows, children, animal lovers and one and all who loves and admire the greatest gift of God- this LIFE. As a writer, I have had the privilege of touching lives through my books, and this nomination motivates me to continue creating impactful narratives. To fellow women achievers, I say: never let your dreams be silenced. Pursue your passions with dedication and perseverance. I am grateful for this platform and look forward to inspiring others. Thank you once again to the Tribute Global Digi Awards Committee for this acknowledgment."

Mridusmita Das is not only a prolific writer but also a seasoned professional, currently serving as a Project Manager with a reputed MNC, backed by over 17 years of IT experience. A distinction holder in Electronics and Communication Engineering, she has been a published writer since her childhood.

Her literary journey is as eclectic as it is inspiring. Her debut novel, A Widow - Rebirth From Her Ashes, released on August 15, 2023, chronicled a journey of self-discovery and courage. Her follow-up, Sparrows of Michigan, offered a delightful contrast with its adventurous storytelling. Since then, she has authored 14 bestsellers including five solo books and nine anthologies, with notable titles like A Quote a Day Miracle Everyday, Calm Down the Angry Bird Within, and Broken Relationships - 2 For Tango, 3 is Crowd.

Her most touching project, however, is Riya and the Rooster, an early learning book for toddlers co-authored with her 9-year-old daughter—launched on March 6, 2025. This project reflects Mridusmita’s commitment to nurturing future generations and fostering a love for reading from an early age.

Outside of literature, she is a sought-after speaker and has graced platforms like the World Book Fair 2024, Akashvani's Women's Day Talk Show, IIT Roopar, and her alma mater, Shrimanta Shankar Academy. Her impactful presence has also been acknowledged by 'India Today NE'.

Mridusmita is deeply committed to animal welfare, particularly street dog rescue and charity. Her future goals span creating more children's literature, advocating mental health awareness, and promoting self-empowerment among women.

She believes in the power of upliftment—both personal and collective. As she puts it, society still grapples with biases, unequal standards, and expectations placed disproportionately on women. But Mridusmita continues to rise, inspired by the likes of J.K. Rowling and Indira Nooyi, whose journeys exemplify excellence against all odds.

At The Holistic Pine, we celebrate Mridusmita Das not only as a literary talent but as a beacon of transformative purpose. Her words have the power to heal, inspire, and ignite—proof that storytelling, when rooted in truth and compassion, can indeed change the world.
