Not Today by Amaan Khan | A Poem

Perhaps the rain you have been anticipating
Won't be comforting,
The dawn you seek may not bring the fresh gushing winds.
You will wake up,
feeling more twisted than your quilt,
Somewhere the bleak peace radiates from the days you were free of guilt.
You dreamt of a familiar finality
to your never ending
nerve pinching
and gut wrenching ambitions.
But all you got to your painful reality was
Feverish consolations.
You understand now,
It's better to believe in that is bitter,
Because it's real.

He's an ambitious writer, from Delhi. Loves to write poetry.
